Bookbagging began Monday Oct. 24 for the Spring semester classes.

The start of bookbagging for the Spring raises many questions. What classes will I take this time? Will I be able to fulfill my graduation requirements? Wait, bookbagging already started? The Chronicle spoke with students about their plans for bookbagging and the classes they're most looking forward to taking.

"I've already bookbagged, that's how excited I am for it. I'm excited to take two econ electives on 'Urban Economics' and the economization of the Middle East.'"—junior Aliza Makhani

"I'm not looking for another several days at least. I got a message at 7 a.m. from someone asking me what classes I'm taking. I'm like, it's been open for seven hours."—junior Addison Howenstine

"The second I realized it was open I figured out my classes in 45 minutes. I get really excited about it." —senior Jessica Hennacy

"I haven't even opened ACES yet. I'm not that excited. I do it last minute every semester."—senior Rebecca Chen

"Is it bad that I'm not particularly excited to take any classes next semester? It doesn't stress me out. I just open the window and click the buttion."—junior Nick Sieja

"I haven't started yet. I'm a little nervous because it's overwhelming, but I'm in Pratt so there are less choices for me. I'm excited to do my humanities course because there's more freedom in what I can choose."—first-year Cindy Pan

"I didn't even realize it started today. Spring bookbagging frustrates me more because it seems like they offer less classes."—sophomore Rachel Jeffries

"I typically do it the night before. For engineers, you have everything mapped out for you. For BME this year, we get to choose a concentration, so I'll actually be able to pick two of my classes."—junior Anthony Schneider

"I've just been avoiding it. I know that if I start, it will just be a five-hour process of me wasting time. It's my first semester not having to take Duke math, so I'm excited. [Bookbagging] is a good way to procrastinate."—sophomore Astha Puri

"By the time you're a sophomore, you start to focus on what classes you need to take to fulfill requirements. I think finding classes is really fun."—sophomore Anna Egas

"I haven't started yet because it feels really early. I could look at it today, but it would really stress me out."—sophomore Alli Grote
