Undergraduates at Duke are given the opportunity to participate in an extraordinary variety of racially, ethnically, culturally and sexually diverse student affairs groups—including, but not limited to clubs, sports teams, business enterprises, publication committees and theater, dance, music and art programs.
Duke Student Government
DSG serves as a voice for Duke students on campus. Executive and legislative members work hard to represent constituents in issues ranging from facilities management improvement to Krzyewskiville policies.
Fraternity & Sorority Life
Fraternity and Sorority Life advises, serves and supports 38 nationally affiliated chapters, and the general Greek community. Of the Duke undergraduate student population, 34% belong to a Greek-lettered organization.
Fraternity and Sorority Life consists of four governing councils, the Interfraternity Council (IFC), the National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC), the Panhellenic Association (Panhel), and the Multicultural Greek Council (MGC).
IFC—composed of 17 fraternity chapters including Psi Upsilon, Duke’s only co-ed social fraternity.

Panhel—made up of 10 National Panhellenic Conference organizations.
MGC—houses Duke’s multicultural/cultural Greek-lettered organizations, including three Asian-interest chapters, two Latino/a based organizations, one South Asian-interest fraternity, and one multicultural sorority.
Selective Living Groups (SLGs)
These student-initiated communities can be purely social in nature or based upon a fundamental, intellectual or cultural theme. Current members of an SLG select new members through a recruitment program.
There are over 800 student groups at Duke with opportunities for every interest.
