Injury Report: Duke football vs. Wake Forest

Ahead of Duke's regular season finale Saturday at Wake Forest, the Blue Devils released their weekly injury report on Thanksgiving:

PROBABLE

QB Thomas Sirk (upper body)

QUESTIONABLE

RB Joseph Ajeigbe (upper body)

OUT

DE Dominic McDonald (upper body)

OUT FOR SEASON

LB Kelby Brown (leg)

CB Bryon Fields (leg)

DT Zach Morris (leg)

OG Cody Robinson (upper body)

DE Taariq Shabazz (leg)

Breakdown: Sirk is likely to play, but David Cutcliffe said Tuesday that redshirt sophomore Parker Boehme will also see action Saturday against the Demon Deacons. Boehme stepped under center early in the fourth quarter of last weekend's loss to Virginia and nearly led the Blue Devils back from a big deficit, authoring two touchdown drives before the game-tying drive came up short. Sirk still looked to be feeling the effects of the upper body injury last weekend, but Boehme has proven himself capable if Duke's starter is unable to go.

Ajeigbe has received minimal work this season in the backfield, sitting fourth on the depth chart behind Shaquille Powell, Jela Duncan and Shaun Wilson. The redshirt sophomore has amassed just four carries this season for a net of eight yards, so expect a heavy diet once again of the top three backs in the stable for the Duke offense. In seven games played this season, McDonald has recorded two total tackles and one quarterback hit.
