Duke class of 2013 signees Jabari Parker and Matt Jones helped the West team defeat the East team 110-99 in the McDonald's All-American game Wednesday night in Chicago.
Parker—the No. 2 overall player in the class of 2013—finished with 10 points, eight rebounds, three assists, two blocks and two steals, while playing in his hometown of Chicago at the United Center. In a game that lacked flow, the 6-foot-8 small forward struggled shooting the ball at 4-of-13 from the field, but he did have one of the most well rounded games of any player.
Parker—a humble and team-orientated player—and his style of play did not seemingly translate all that well to the all-star game setting.
Going head to head all night against Andrew Wiggins—the No. 1 overall player in the class—proved to be difficult at times for Parker.
Jones—ESPN's fifth-ranked shooting guard in the class—had four points on 2-of-4 shooting.
