The recruiting race for Tyus Jones—the No. 1 point guard in the class of 2014—is heating up.
Thursday night Duke head coach Mike Krzyzewski will begin the April recruiting period in Apple Valley, Minn. for an in-home visit with the five-star floor general.

Jones—a crafty player that can score and facilitate at a high level—is considering Baylor, Ohio State, Minnesota, Michigan State, Kentucky and Kansas in addition to Duke. He has unofficially visited all the schools on his list and is expected to announce his college decision sometime this fall.
The 6-foot-1 guard is a very important recruit for the Blue Devil coaching staff because he and his close friend Jahlil Okafor—who is arguably the top big man in all of high school basketball—will likely end up attending the same school.
Okafor unofficially visited Duke with Jones for Countdown to Craziness back in October.
The general sentiment on Duke's position with Jones is quite positive given that the coaching staff has not offered any other point guards a scholarship nor have they seriously pursued any other lead guards in the class of 2014.
Jones will run with the Howard Pulley AAU team on the Nike EYBL circuit this spring and summer.
