Tyus Jones—the No. 1 overall point guard in the class of 2014—capped off his junior season the right way over the weekend by taking home the Minnesota 4A State Championship Saturday night.
The 6-foot-1 junior floor general finished with 28 points, 11 rebounds and five assists as his Apple Valley high school team beat Park Center 74-57.
Jones is considering Baylor, Duke, Kansas, Kentucky, Michigan State, Minnesota and Ohio State.
Fresh off from beating Memphis in the Round of 32 in the NCAA Tournament, Spartan head coach Tom Izzo was reportedly in attendance Saturday night to watch Jones.
Tom Izzo is trying hard to land Tyus Jones. The guy flew to MN after an NCAA tournament win to be there for Jones' title. That's impressive— Dave Schwartz (@Dave_Schwartz) March 24, 2013
Kentucky head coach John Calipari watched Jones play earlier in the week.

Here is a recent highlight reel of Jones:
Class of 2013 Duke commit Jabari Parker—the No. 2 overall player in the class of 2013—received the Morgan Wooten National Player of the Year Award last week.

Parker also was named the Gatorade Player of the Year in the state of Illinois. Fellow Blue Devil 2013 signee Semi Ojeleye earned that same title in the state of Kansas.
Similarly, 2014 Duke targets Justise Winslow, Devin Booker and Jones were the Gatorade Players of the Year for Texas, Mississippi and Minnesota, respectively.
