2014 guard Devin Booker receives Duke scholarship offer

After Duke's easy victory at home over Boston College Sunday afternoon, Blue Devil head coach Mike Krzyzewski officially offered a scholarship to 2014 shooting guard Devin Booker, who unofficially visited Duke for its game against the Eagles.

Booker is the No. 19 player in the class of 2014, according to ESPN, and the No. 2 shooting guard in the class. A Moss Point, Miss. native, Booker has terrific size for a two guard at 6-foot-5.

Known for his sharpshooting abilities from the perimeter, Booker also unofficially visited North Carolina for its win over rival N.C. State on Saturday, while he was in the Triangle area with his family over the weekend.

All signs point toward Duke being a serious contender to land Booker, who has seen his stock soar over the course of his brilliant junior campaign.  The Duke coaching staff has seemingly turned up the heat on him the past few months.

Michigan, Missouri, North Carolina and a host of SEC schools look to be firmly in the mix to land Booker in addition to Duke.
