Despite knocking off their third top-five team of the season on Wednesday when the Blue Devils downed then-No. 4 Ohio State 73-68, Duke remained at No. 2 in this week's AP Poll.
The No. 1 spot remained property of Indiana, who had a big win of their own this week, taking down then-No. 14 North Carolina 83-59. Both the Hoosiers and the Blue Devils won those games at home.
Duke did make progress toward the No. 1 spot however, garnering 20 first place votes in the AP Poll, up from 18 last week, and six first place votes in the Coaches Poll, up from four.
Elsewhere in college basketball, North Carolina dropped six spots down to No. 20 and North Carolina State fell from No. 18 all the way to No. 25. Kentucky, who lost to both Notre Dame and Baylor in addition to Duke, fell out of the AP Poll all together after being No. 8 last week.
