Jabari Parker to officially visit Duke this weekend

The recruiting schedule this week will not lighten up.

After hosting a star-studded cast of recruits for Countdown to Craziness, the Duke basketball coaching staff will welcome Jabari Parker—the No.1 overall player in the class of 2013—to campus for an official visit this weekend.

Generic Script

The 6-foot-8 small forward is down to five schools—BYU, Duke, Florida, Michigan State and Stanford.

As reported recently, Parker will not sign during the early signing period.

After his visit to Durham, Parker will take official visits to Florida (Nov. 2-4), Stanford (Nov. 9-11) and BYU (Nov. 16-20).

Forward Austin Nichols—the Blue Devil coaching staff's other target in the class of 2013—is expected to announce his college decision in the coming weeks and sign during the early signing period.

Reverting the attention back to Countdown to Craziness, top-flight juniors Tyus Jones (PG), Jahlil Okafor (PF) and Theo Pinson (SF) were in attendance for Duke's kickoff event of the year. Additionally, Karl Towns—the No.1 player in the class of 2015—was in attendance, as well as Harry Giles, who is one of the premier forwards in the class of 2016.
