Senior Ben Hwang and junior Christine Wixted have earned ACC Swimming and Diving Performer of the Week honors, the conference announced Tuesday.

The Blue Devils competed this past weekend in the All-North Carolina Invitational in Greensboro, N.C., where the men took second overall and the women took third. There, Hwang won the 50-yard freestyle and 100 freestyle, and finished second in the 100 breasstroke. His 20.03 time in the 50 freestyle is tied for first in the nation, while his 100 freestyle time of 45.09 ranks eighth. Beyond his individual success, Hwang anchored the first-place 200 freestyle and 200 medley relay and swam in the second-place 400 freestyle and 400 medley relays.

Wixted won the 100 and 200 breasstroke, as well as an event she had not yet swam in her college career—the 500 freestyle. She also swam on the second-place 200 freestyle and 200 medley relays, and the first-place 400 medley relay. Her 2:20.17 time in the 200 breasstroke is currently ranked 12th in the nation.
