Ryan Kelly has successful foot surgery

Junior Ryan Kelly will be out for 6-8 weeks after undergoing surgery on his injured right foot, the team announced today.

Kelly suffered the injury two weeks ago in practice leading up to the ACC tournament. He did not play in either the ACC or NCAA tournaments, though the team said he could be available for spot minutes.

The 6-foot-11 forward averaged 11.8 points and 5.4 rebounds per game during the regular season. He made 40.8 percent of his 3-pointers, shooting 40-for-98 from beyond the arc, the highest rate on the team.
