Duke senior goalkeeper Samantha Nelson was named the ACC Field Hockey Player of the Week on Tuesday after allowing only one goal in two road victories over the weekend, including one against No. 1 Old Dominion. In the upset, Nelson held an offense averaging more than three and a half goals a game to just one despite facing 17 shots.
No. 5 Duke will face Central Michigan Sunday in its final home game this regular season.
