Oghobaase To Miss Spring Practice

Vince Oghobaase, Duke's standout defensive tackle who spurned the NFL Draft to use his fifth year of eligibility, will miss the remainder of spring practice after sustaining a stress fracture in his foot Wednesday, head coach David Cutcliffe announced in a statement Thursday. Oghobaase will not require surgery.

Oghobaase was an honorable mention All-ACC tackle last season, recording 51 tackles and six sacks. Oghobaase had submitted his name to an NFL Draft advisory board, and upon receiving feedback from the committee, decided to try to improve his draft stock with the Blue Devils. Now, though, the 6-foot-6, 300-pound tackle will be sidelined after just one spring practice.

Also injured Wednesday in the opening practice was Kenny Anunike, a redshirt freshman tight end. He will undergo surgery to repair a meniscus tear in his knee.
