Abby Waner and Co. won't have to worry about facing North Carolina again this year.
The No. 3 Tar Heels fell to No. 6 Purdue Monday 85-70, and Rashanda McCants was held to just six points on 3-of-15 shooting—a long way from her performance against the Blue Devils in the season series, when she averaged 23 points over the two games.
Although it would be highly unlikely for both teams to make the national championship and play each other, common wisdom did have North Carolina making it a little farther than the second round.
Still, I doubt many Duke fans are complaining.
