The designs come from Albertus Swanepoel, Vena Cava, Marchesa, Derek Lam, Doo-Ri Chung and Alexander Wang. Let's just say the Obama-Kennedy comparisons don't stop with the misters.
At a more local level, the N&O has a short piece about North Carolina Governor-elect Bev Perdue's suit and gown for the state's inauguration. Perdue is no Michelle Obama when it comes to fashion, but the occasion is notable because this is the first time the governor won't be wearing a penguin suit.
