Duke began the second half of its season on the right foot as the men's squad defeated South Carolina and Davidson in a dual meet at Taishoff Aquatic Pavilion to improve to 4-1 on the season. The women's side beat Davidson but suffered its first defeat of the year to USC, a two-point loss to bring its record to 6-1.
Freshman diver Cody Kolodziejzyk led the way for the Blue Devils, winning the three-meter with a score of 329.50 for Duke's highest score of the year. He also took first in the one-meter, scoring 294.10. The Blue Devils finished 1-3 in the three-meter and 1-2 in the one-meter.
Fellow freshman Abby Johnston won the one-meter for the women, posting her third-best score of the season, 321.90. Johnston also placed second in the three-meter as Duke finished 2-3-4 in the event.
The Blue Devil men secured the overall victory in the 400 medley relay as the 'B' team and 'A' team placed 2-3, respectively. The women finished second to USC by three seconds to the give the Gamecocks the team win.
