Bozman sits on verge of 300th career victory

For the second consecutive weekend, Duke plays two non-conference games against unranked opponents. Anticipation for this weekend's slate, though, extends past the games themselves.

The No. 4 Blue Devils (12-3) take on Appalachian State (2-13) Saturday at 1 p.m. and Longwood (8-9) Sunday at 1 p.m. at Williams Field, but other festivities will highlight the weekend.

With two victories this weekend, Duke head coach Beth Bozman would reach the 300-win plateau for her career.

Before Bozman can join North Carolina's Karen Shelton and Maryland's Missy Meharg in the 300-win club, though, she will see Williams Field re-dedicated to a donor Saturday.

Duke enters the weekend set riding a six-game winning streak that dates back to Oct. 4 and includes a win over then-No. 1 Maryland Oct. 11.

The Blue Devils' lone home loss came against then-No. 5 North Carolina Sept. 27.
