They say distance makes the heart grow fonder-we hope that online updates from The Chronicle will make yours grow even fonder.
The Chronicle has ceased daily production for the 2006-2007 year with this issue. Of course, the news does not stop when students leave campus. Although we will print every Thursday during the first summer session, we realize that most students choose to explore the world beyond these stone walls over the next few months.
For this reason, we have pushed to provide better, more comprehensive, coverage online.
Today, The Chronicle Online launched the first of many initiatives to better utilize the Internet as a central means of disseminating up-to-the minute news. There is now a website dedicated to the lacrosse story. On the site, you will find exclusive online content and links to the stories that have been in our headlines for the past five weeks.
In the upcoming months, you can turn to the website in order to read about the latest campus news. Readers can also register to receive e-mail updates from The Chronicle Online.
The Chronicle is committed to provide probing, balanced and timely reporting. This website, this paper, is for you, our readership.
If you have any suggestions for the website, e-mail Online Editor Steve Veres at sav19@duke.edu. For questions or concerns on our coverage, please feel free to e-mail Editor-in-Chief Ryan McCartney at drm13@duke.edu.
