Men's basketball associate head coach Johnny Dawkins dispelled of any rumors linking him to the head coaching vacancy at Ohio State Monday afternoon.
"I am happy where I am," Dawkins said. "I have not been in touch with anyone in Ohio. I'm very happy to be here and a part of the staff and working with Coach [Krzyzewski]."
A Sunday report in The Columbus Dispatch reported that Dawkins may have been interested in leading the Buckeyes, who have been conducting a nationwide job search since Jim O'Brien was removed after giving $6,000 to a recruit.
Dawkins, a former All-American under Krzyzewski, played for several years in the NBA before returning to work on Krzyzewski's staff.
