From staff reports
High school junior Brittany Mitch verbally committed to the women's basketball team yesterday. The 6-foot-2 point guard led her St. John's cadets to the Washington, D.C., city title game while averaging 10.5 points per game this season.
"I remember I went there when I was nine years old for a soccer camp and fell in love with the school because it had such a great atmosphere," Mitch told the Washington Post. "That's when my dream to go to college at Duke started, and it's a great to be able to get to go there."
Mitch plans on taking a pre-medicine track, as she desires to be a pediatrician.
