Rowing finishes in 11th

The women's rowing team came in 11th place at the 2003 Lexus Central/South Region Sprints May 18. The Blue Devils compiled four points en route to placing as the fifth best team out of the South region.

The highlight of Duke's meet came from the Novice Eight, as they came in third in the Grand Final behind champion Virginia and Ohio State. The Blue Devils had won the semifinal heat the day before. The Varsity Eight also placed third, and did so in its fastest time of the year with a 6:31.4.

The meet champion was Ohio State, with ACC champion Virginia coming in six points behind the Buckeyes in second place. Among ACC schools, the Blue Devils were third, finishing behind the Cavaliers and ninth-place Clemson.
