No. 2 women's lacrosse squares off against No. 4 UVa

Coming off a disappointing loss to No. 20 Vanderbilt, the No. 2 women's (9-2, 1-1 in the ACC) lacrosse team will look to rebound against No. 4 Virginia (9-2, 1-1) Sunday in Charlottesville, Va. The matchup is also a preview of the first round ACC Championships which will also be played in Charlottesville.

With Maryland locking up the No. 1 seed in the tournament and North Carolina finishing its conference schedule at 0-3, Duke and Virginia are poised for a second matchup regardless of the outcome of Sunday's game.

While the Blue Devils struggled, losing 8-6 at Vanderbilt, the Cavaliers are coming off an emotional victory at James Madison. Attack Amy Appeit fired a game-winning goal into the bottom of the net with only 12 seconds remaining to give Virginia a 12-11 victory.

After being embarrassed at home last season by the Cavaliers 18-6, the retooled Duke team looks for revenge.
