After The Washington Post released a video of Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump making lewd comments about women, Avery Rape, a former women's soccer player at Duke, published a blog post reflecting on the comments and the treatment of women on college campuses. The Chronicle's Amrith Ramkumar spoke with Rape about her time at Duke and instances of sexual harassment and assault she experienced when she was a student.



Making the grade: Duke football vs. Army

Saturday's game was anything but an offensive spectacle, but the Blue Devil defense shut down Army's triple-option attack to allow Duke to get back to .500 for the season with a 13-6 win. Although Hurricane Matthew wreaked havoc on the game, the Blue Devils showed their toughness despite losing offensive starters Jela Duncan and Austin Davis during the contest.





MRI confirms star safety DeVon Edwards suffered season-ending torn ACL and MCL at Notre Dame

An MRI confirmed that star safety and kickoff returner DeVon Edwards tore his ACL and MCL on Duke's first kickoff return at Notre Dame Saturday and will miss the rest of the season, head coach David Cutcliffe announced on his weekly teleconference Sunday.
