The family of a Duke employee killed Wednesday when a steam pipe exploded
in the Levine Science Research Center hired an attorney to investigate issues of
safety in the workplace, according to a report from WRAL.
Rayford Cofer, 63, was the only fatality in the accident, which occurred in
the mechanical room of the building's basement.
