Marvin Bagley III was named a first-team AP All-American Tuesday afternoon.

For the first time in history, there are three freshman AP first-team All-Americans, including one Blue Devil.

Marvin Bagley III became the Blue Devils' first All-American on the first team since Jahlil Okafor in 2015, joining Villanova's Jalen Brunson, Arizona's Deandre Ayton, Oklahoma's Trae Young and Kansas' Devonte' Graham. Bagley finished the year averaging 21.1 points per game and 11.5 rebounds per game, and he was named ACC Player and Rookie of the Year after the regular season.

The freshman big man is also a finalist for the Naismith Award and the Wooden Award, with the winners for both national player of the year honors set to be announced in the first week of April, and Bagley is expected to be a top-three pick in the NBA Draft in June. With first-team All-American honors from the Sporting News, NABC and USBWA as well, Bagley is the 22nd consensus first-team All-American in Duke's history and the fourth this decade.

Duke senior captain Grayson Allen wrapped up his career with an honorable mention All-American award, but no other Blue Devils received AP recognition.

Rounding out the second team were Ohio State's Keita Bates-Diop, Xavier's Trevon Bluiett, Jock Landale of Saint Mary's, Miles Bridges from Michigan State and West Virginia's Jevon Carter.
