ACC Watch: No. 6 Miami shocked by New Mexico State

Every night of the college basketball season, the Blue Zone will bring you updates on all of the important ACC matchups.

In the last night of action for ACC teams until Dec. 27, New Mexico State pulled off one of the biggest upsets of the college basketball season:

New Mexico State 63, No. 6 Miami 54

The Hurricanes fell from the ranks of the undefeated with a stunning loss to New Mexico State. Miami shot just 2-of-18 from deep, was outrebounded and turned the ball over 14 times. The Aggies did it without putting together even an average offensive performance—they shot just 28 percent from deep and under 36 percent from the field.

No. 5 North Carolina 86, Ohio State 72

After falling hard to lowly Wofford in its last outing, North Carolina rebounded with a strong win against the Buckeyes. Joel Berry II led the way with 19 points while Theo Pinson also added 19 points and five rebounds. After struggling mightily from deep against the Terriers, the Tar Heels bounced back to nail 13-of-15 threes in a commanding win.

The other scores:

No. 21 Tennessee 79, Wake Forest 60

Louisville 74, Grand Canyon 56

Boston College 78, Richmond 73
