Larry Moneta, vice president for student affairs, encouraged students to report Hezam if he attempts to offer rides.

UPDATE: Duke Today issued a crime alert at 3:00 p.m. about Hezam. The alert says that Hezam was arrested for trespassing on Duke property recently. Hezam is operating independently and is not connected to a particular taxi service, according to police.

Larry Moneta, vice president for student affairs, sent an email to students Thursday warning them not to use transportation services provided by Ahmad Hezam, who was previously convicted of assault on a female

Moneta wrote in the email that as a condition of Hezam's parole he was not permitted to provide transportation services until March. He was reported to be offering rides near Shooters II Saloon this weekend, Moneta wrote.

He encouraged students to report the behavior to 911 if they observe it.

Hezam was charged with second-degree sexual assault after a female student reported that he touched her inappropriately as she was exiting his vehicle in August 2015.
