Rev. William Barber II, president of the North Carolina chapter of the NAACP, visited protestors in front of the Allen Building Tuesday.

Approximately a month after The Chronicle reported that Executive Vice President Tallman Trask hit contract parking attendant Shelvia Underwood with his car and was accused of using a racial slur as he drove off Aug. 30, 2014, students started a sit-in in the Allen Building. The sit-in began after a protest focused on demands for the administration regarding the Trask incident and treatment of employees at Duke.
