Basketball: Cameron Crazies read The Chronicle. Our posts about last year’s national championship received thousands of likes, and upsets in Chapel Hill have also gotten a lot of attention too.
Football: Duke football’s successes in the past few years have been liked on Facebook. Readers followed with The Chronicle as Duke football won its first bowl game in more than 50 years last December.
Nobel Prize: Chronicle readers were excited by Paul Modrich’s Nobel Prize win last year, the second Nobel Prize received by a standing member of Duke’s Faculty.
Harry Potter: Duke students followed along as Robbie Florian, Trinity '15, read all seven Harry Potter books aloud on the Chapel Quadrangle in front of the James B. Duke statue starting in November 2014. Florian completed his reading in April 2015.
Crisis: Chronicle readers were relieved when all Duke students were safe and accounted for after last year’s terrorist attacks in Paris.
Construction: Students were overjoyed when the Bryan Center Plaza bridge was opened earlier this month after a two-year closure.
