Flashback: one year since 'Snowpocalypse'

Friday marks one year since a memorable and cold week for Duke.

Last winter, many students were pleasantly surprised to have classes cancelled for several days in February and March due to winter snow storms and icy roads. The 2014 snowstorm resulted in the first multiple-day cancellation of classes in 14 years. Feb. 11, 12 and 13 of last year all saw activation of the severe weather policy, which halted transportation and closed many clinics as well as calling off classes. The much-awaited Duke-UNC men's basketball game was also postponed for several days as a result of the road conditions.

This month, however, the weather has been much more mild—including some 65-degree days—and no classes have been cancelled due to hazardous conditions so far. Take a look back on the Gothic Wonderland in the powder and the good times students managed to have on their days off:
