Freshman spotlight: Belltower

Meet Hannah McMullan, an incoming Belltower dorm resident from Bayonne, New Jersey. Major: Neuroscience and classical civilizations

Pre-orientation: None

Summer plans: "I went to Ireland for two weeks and i just back from Atlanta, Georgia two days ago."

Favorite type of weather: Sunny and warm.

Favorite book or literary work: "Clash of Civilizations Over an Elevator in Piazza Vittorio" by Amara Lakhous.

Spirit animal: Wolf. "They're my favorite animal — what can I say."

Guilty pleasure: "Chocolate. Dark chocolate with mint."

Impression from first visit to Duke: "How beautiful it is, just the campus itself."

What she will add to the Belltower community: "A dry sense of humor and knowledge of Latin."

Things she's excited to try out at Duke: "Meeting new people."

What I’m most nervous about at Duke: "Being far away from home… New Jersey is nine hours away."

If she could be famous for one thing, what it would be: "Discovering a cure for a neurological disorder."

Weirdest thing she plans to pack: "Fancy teas."

Favorite kind of tea: "Mint tea."

Essential dorm decorating item: "I'm not really decorating my room that much."

Any last thoughts: "Go Blue Devils!"
