With the severe weather policy in place until 7 p.m., more than just the class schedule has been impacted today.

At 8:08 this morning, it was announced that no busses would be running for the remainder of the day, as roads have been deemed unsafe—despite the most popular routes having been plowed at least four times.

Further precipitation—in the form of freezing rain or snow—is expected throughout the day, according to the latest Duke emergency alert.

As of 12:30 pm Thursday, no incidents of injury had been reported on campus, according to a representative from the Duke University Police Department.

Students will also have fewer options when deciding where to eat today. Although Marketplace and Penn Pavilion are running on normal hours today, many vendors have chosen not to open at all. Au Bon Pain, Bella Union, Food Factory, Loop Pizza Grill, McDonald’s, Pitchfork Provisions and Saladelia at the Perk are running on normal schedule. Check the campus services website for the most recent closures.

Lilly, Perkins and Bostock Libraries will be open, though with limited services.

The men’s Duke-North Carolina basketball game has been rescheduled to Thursday, Feb. 20.

Check back for continued updates throughout the day.
